The Panda

Concept sketch for The Panda. This is a just a rough sketch to get things going in the right direction. I like to make a lot of changes when I actually start sculpting.

Here is the sculpting armature for The Panda. It has been constructed with tie-downs as I will try to use this armature for both the sculpting and animating armatures.

Basic musculature is complete, starting to put in the hair detail.









Panda bear finished sculpt, ready for casting. I have decided to use the bear body mold to create a brown bear also. Clothes will be made later out of various fabrics.

The Pig

The finished pig puppet. I still need to add clothing.

This is the first of the animal characters I have started working on. It stands about 6.5 inches high. I am planning for the humans to stand about 9 inches tall.

This is the sculpting armature made of a 16 gauge steel wire.

Front, side and back views of the completed body in oil-based clay.

The mold created out of foam board and the mold filled with Ultra cal 30 plaster.

The Pig's head and replacement mouths created out of Super Sculpey. The ears will most likely be created out of nylon and latex to allow animation.
